Dragon’s Tales
The famous Ljubljana dragon sometimes makes an appearance wearing nail polish making him a real drag’ queen. We’ll show you where right at the beginning
of the tour.
We’ll share the dragon’s tales: the stories of Ljubljana he has captured over many centuries here. You’ll discover the link between Dragon Bridge and the iconic Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (and you’ll find out what causes the dragons on the bridge to wag their tails).
We'll introduce you to Dragomir Veliki, the funky dragon of Ljubljana, who also spits fire…
And we'll take you to taste a cake with a little dragon on top of it...
Plus we’ll reveal how Ljubljana was able to become 100% sustainable during WWII, in a way that would be an effective model for food self-sufficiency today.
WHAT? A pursuit of the Ljubljana’s Dragon’s tails (while sharing his tales). A personalised walk around Ljubljana with close encounter with the Ljubljana dragon in all shapes and forms.
WHEN? Any day (ideal start time is 14.00, 11.00 on Saturdays) except Sundays. The Dragon washes its hair on Sundays. But you can still explore Ljubljana on the Lazy Sunday walk instead.
WHERE? Where else but the Dragon’s bridge. Find the Drag’ Queen one with the painted claw.
