Tjaša and Tom
1. Visit Hiša eksperimentov.
The indoor, ‘hands-on’ Slovenian Science Centre, Hiša eksperimentov, allows you to take part in scientific experiments for yourself. While kids always have fun there, there's no reason why you shouldn't try one of many experiments.
2. Escape the rain in one of Ljubljana’s many museums.
Perhaps the exhibition of Medieval Ljubljana, which is currently showing at the City Museum; it shows just how rich and long the city's history is, so Ljubljana might look a lot different once the sky clears.
3. Visit the Maximarket in the Trg republike area.
Maximarket was the first department store with a notable offering in Slovenia, and provides a respite from the rain and a chance for some retail therapy. As a place that offers shopping, food, drink and a place to relax, it could be the perfect spot to wait for the rain to pass. Try the Club on the first floor where you can also rent a tablet for free.
4. Visit one of Ljubljana’s many escape rooms.
5. Buy an umbrella
and call Tom for a special ‘Rainy day extravaganza’. He’s British so he’s used to rain.
